About

The Seven Bridges Café is a joint partnership between Dance City and the West End Refugee Service (WERS).

The café creates a vibrant and inclusive space that offers great food, promotes diversity, strengthens community connections and offers a volunteering placements for our clients.

The idea

Collaborating with the Head Chef, the menu is being thoughtfully crafted and regularly updated to highlight the diverse techniques and traditions of our dedicated volunteers.

Our aim is to not only showcase their rich culinary contributions but also provide a platform for them to enhance existing skills, acquire new ones and gain valuable experience that serves as a stepping stone towards future employment opportunities.

volunteer and travel expenses as well as free meal on-duty is provided

We offer 6-week placements at the café for our clients to:

• gain experience of working in a professional café

• receive one to one support from the Head Chef

• access training for Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate

• introduce their favourite food to the public
