Our Consultation Event and AGM 2023 - Gallery

On Thursday 8th of December 2023, the WERS’ community came together for its Annual General Meeting, where we delved into the accomplishments, challenges and aspirations that defined our journey during this period. Click here to see our 2022/2023 Annual Report and Annual Accounts.

We also launched our Consultation Event — an interactive forum where over 60 individuals, including supporters, clients, volunteers, partners and donors, gathered to provide feedback on our Consultation (Green Paper).

The community was divided into 6 groups and tasked with answering the following questions:

a) How should we strengthen our Support Services?

b) How will Skillsmatch support our clients in the future?
c) How can we utilize our volunteers to their full potential?
d) In what ways can those seeking asylum and refugees become Advisors of the future?
e) What should Membership of WERS mean?
f) How would you like to celebrate our 25th Anniversary?

The feedback from each table will inform our further work on the Strategy Document.

This gathering was also an opportunity to express our gratitude to Tessa Sayers - our outgoing Chair of the Board of Trustees, for her unwavering commitment and dedication to WERS over the past two decades.
